Everest View Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Pick up and transfer to the hotel by private car or Jeep.

Day 02: Morning flight to Lukla (2,840m), which takes about 40 minutes from Kathmandu. Trek to Phakding from Lukla, taking about 5 hours. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 03: A 4-5 hour trek from Phakding (2,610m) to Namche Bazaar (3,430m). Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazaar (3,440m) is a busy Sherpa town often referred to as the gateway to Everest. The trail follows the right bank of the Dudh Koshi River, climbs from the riverbed on the left bank into the mountain, and continues through a forest towards Namche.

Day 04: Acclimatization or rest day. About a 1-hour morning hike to Everest viewpoint, from where you can see the first view of mighty Everest along with Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kangtega, Nuptse, etc. Chance to experience the culture and traditions of the Sherpa people during your stay in Namche Bazaar. The remaining day is free for rest, personal activities, and exploring around the town of Namche.

Day 05: After breakfast in Namche, trek to Tengboche situated at an altitude of 3,860m above sea level. The duration of this trek is 4-5 hours. Tengboche Monastery is the oldest monastery in this region, known for its extraordinary architecture and culture. Enjoy the great panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Tawache, etc.

Day 06: Trek to Monjo, situated at an altitude of 2,840m, a small Sherpa settlement at the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park where we paid the entry fee on day 03. The day's trek will take about 5-6 hours to reach Monjo. The place is blessed with beautiful views of mountains beyond the alpine forests and streams.

Day 07: Trek back to Lukla from where the journey started. It will take about 4-5 hours to reach the destination. Rest in a tea house or explore around Lukla. Lukla offers good food, communication needs, souvenir shops, and bars with Tungba (an exotic alcoholic drink of Nepal's mountain areas).

Day 08: Morning flight back to the bustling city of Kathmandu, transfer from the airport to a hotel of your choice by private car or bus, depending on the group size. Free day in Kathmandu for resting, shopping, or exploring around the tourist hub Thamel area.
